Lee and Valerie,
That was my first elk hunt, and I can't express how much it has stuck with me. I saw a herd of 13 elk, including a rag horn and the herd bull the last day I was there. I made a shot on the herd bull at about 600 yards, but we were unable to locate him. He left a good blood trail in the snow for a mile or so but he made it to a rock slide which parted the dark timber and descended about 5000 feet in elevation. I wanted to thank you for your service and look forward to doing maybe a drop camp in the future.
